In Thailand, religious congregations joyfully mark jubilees that celebrate 25, 50, or even 60 years of consecrated life. On 2 February 2026, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, a solemn celebration was held at the Assumption Cathedral in Bang Rak, Bangkok. Seven Sisters from various congregations gathered to give thanks for the gift of vocation and fidelity. Among them was our own Sister Unchaya NIRUNDORNPRASERT, DC who rejoiced in her Golden Jubilee — 50 years as a Daughter of Charity, a life offered in love and service.

This blessed occasion became not only a moment of thanksgiving for her faithful “yes” to God’s call and her tireless service to the poor and the vulnerable, but even more profoundly, a testimony to God’s enduring faithfulness and mercy towards her.

For five decades, Sister Unchaya has embodied the Vincentian charism with love and generosity, becoming an artisan of peace and hope through her compassionate service and her witness to God’s merciful love. Her life continues to inspire countless people, especially those most in need of care, encouragement, and dignity.

We lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving to God for the gift of her vocation, and we pray that He may continue to bless her with strength, joy, and abundant grace as she carries forward her mission of love
