Last July, Our Lady of Victory Training Center (OLV) joined the nation in celebrating the 48th National Disability Rights Week 2026, carrying the theme: “Rights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equitable Participation and Inclusive Development.”
The celebration brought the OLV community together through a rich array of activities: the Learning Advocacy Forum, interactive games, choral service during a Sunday Mass, inclusive skills training, Nurturing Touch with Ma’am Melbia Malubay, nature art, and film viewing.
A special highlight was the video presentation, sharing, and reflection facilitated by Sr. Joy BALAIS, DC and Sr. Eva VARGAS, DC, which invited the OLV family to reflect more deeply on the dignity, rights, abilities, and potential of persons with disabilities. Their sharing helped transform the celebration from simply an activity into an opportunity for awareness, appreciation, and renewed commitment.
OLV also proudly joined the National Disability Rights Week celebration at Babak Gym, where its participants brought home top honors—Champion in Song Duet and 2nd Place in Basketball Shooting.
Through these experiences, OLV continues to affirm its commitment to dignity, empowerment, participation, and inclusion, building a community where every person is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to flourish.
