Celebrating St. Vincent de Paul at the Provincial House
The Provincial House joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul, our beloved Founder, in a spirit of prayer, gratitude, and Vincentian fraternity.
The day opened with the Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Bishop Emeritus Rolando Santos, CM, DD. His profound reflection stirred hearts and reminded us: “Peace is possible. Nurture hope. Cherish creation. Let our life as Daughters of Charity reveal the love of Christ, who turns every sacrifice into grace and every burden into blessing.”
After the liturgy, the Sisters and Lay Mission Partners gathered in the refectory for a festive agape meal. The celebration was enriched by joyful performances and the sharing of talents from our Lay Mission Partners, fostering a spirit of gratitude, solidarity, and renewed commitment to our shared mission of service.
The celebration continued in the afternoon at the Blessed Marta Wiecka Community, where the Sisters shared merienda y cena and enjoyed a lively community program. The Pre Postulants and Postulants captivated everyone through drama, storytelling, song, and dance—beautifully portraying the life, spirituality, and mission of St. Vincent de Paul.
Laughter and joy filled the gathering as the Sisters joined in fun games and received prizes, deepening bonds of community life. The program closed with a heartfelt community song in honor of our Founder, followed by a hymn to Blessed Mother.
More than a festive gathering, it became a meaningful encounter with our Vincentian identity—reminding us that our vocation is rooted in love, unity, and service. Truly, it was a radiant witness to our Vincentian belonging and a renewed call to carry forward the legacy of St. Vincent as bearers of God’s compassion, peace, and hope in today’s world.
