A Celebration of Faith, Leadership, and Shared Mission
On December 8, the Feast of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the Universidad de Sta. Isabel Health Services (USIHS) community rejoiced in a moment of profound grace, unity, and renewal. On this holy day of obligation, our hearts were drawn together not only to honor Mary’s purity and faithful obedience to God’s will, but also to lift joyful thanksgiving for a new chapter in the DC Health Ministry.
On this blessed occasion, Sr. Josie ONAG, DC, Visitatrix, formally presented Sr. Remedios TIDOR, DC, as the new Superintendent of the DC Health Ministry. Filled with hope and confidence, the community welcomed her leadership with open hearts and steadfast trust in God’s providence. The celebration was further graced with the unveiling of the new Vision–Mission of the DC Health Ministry—a moment that symbolized our renewed commitment to compassionate, faith-filled, and excellent healthcare service, deeply rooted in our Vincentian and Setonian heritage.
Sr. Ma. Sharon NIEVALES, DC, Vice President for Health Services, then led the consecration of the new Vision–Mission, entrusting it to the loving care and guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This act of surrender affirmed that our work in healthcare is not merely a profession, but a sacred mission. Sr. Teresita ABASTILLAS, DC, University President, led the community in the recitation of the Vision–Mission, a proclamation that echoed our collective resolve to embody these guiding principles in daily service.
Though December 8 was a holy day of obligation, the presence and active participation of the USIHS lay mission partners stood as a beautiful testament to our shared faith, dedication, and sense of community. Their involvement transformed the gathering into a festive and inspiring celebration—marked by unity, gratitude, and renewed purpose.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to guide and protect the USIHS family, that we may live our renewed Vision–Mission with faith, hope, and love—for the greater glory of God and in devoted service to those entrusted to our care.
