Health Ministry

The Health Ministry of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in the Philippines provides health services through three DC hospitals: San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. – Hospital (SJDEFI) in Pasay City, Metro Manila; Universidad de Sta. Isabel de Naga, Inc. – Health Services (USI-HS) in Naga City, Bicol; and St. Anthony College of Roxas City, Inc. – Hospital (SACRI) in Roxas City.

San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. – Hospital (SJDEFI) in Pasay City, Metro Manila, and Universidad de Sta. Isabel de Naga, Inc. – Health Services (USI-HS) in Naga City, Bicol, are both classified as Level 3 hospitals, while St. Anthony College of Roxas City, Inc. – Hospital (SACRI) in Roxas City is a Level 2 facility. All three hospitals are managed by DC Administrators under the leadership of a DC Superintendent, Sr. Remedios T. Tidor, DC. Notably, SACRI achieved ISO triple certification in October 2025, covering Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety standards.

The pursuit of holistic quality and compassionate service is the central mission uniting three prominent Philippine hospitals under the Health Ministry of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in the Philippines.

This powerful alignment stems from their shared spiritual foundation within the Vincentian Family. Rooted in this heritage, their operational excellence—guided by the Integrated Management System (IMS)—is inseparably linked to their Christian mission of serving the poor and the sick with compassion and integrity.

The Integrated Management System (IMS) thus demonstrates that their spiritual mission is not simply an ideal, but a systematically managed commitment to deliver high-quality, specialized, and safe healthcare to the communities they serve. This dedication is further reflected in ongoing advancements: San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. – Hospital (SJDEFI) inaugurated its Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) service on October 1, 2025.

In its continuing effort to strengthen the health ministry, the three hospitals have been actively collaborating and sharing services. Their journey of unity began with the first convention held at San Juan de Dios Hospital in October 2023, followed by the second convention in Naga City in October 2025. Through these gatherings, the Vision and Mission of the three hospitals have been unified, reflecting their shared commitment to holistic quality and compassionate service. Looking ahead, the third convention is scheduled for October 2027 in Roxas City—an event eagerly anticipated with much enthusiasm and excitement by all.
