The Santa Isabel College of Manila Community, together with the faithful devotees of Sto. Cristo del Tesoro, gathered on September 14, 2026, to celebrate the 394th Feast of the beloved Patron under the theme, “Seeds of the Cross: Sowing Sustainable Pathways of Hope for Tomorrow.”

The 9:00 A.M. Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Francisco “Kiko” Magnaye, Jr., CM, with Fr. Eli Rowdy Lumbo, SJ, as concelebrant. In his homily, Fr. Kiko reflected on the Cross as the ultimate expression of God’s self-giving love and connected it with the Vincentian spirit of service and sacrifice. He reminded the faithful that every act of love and sacrifice can become a seed that bears fruit for others and future generations.

Following the Mass, the faithful patiently lined up for the veneration and kissing of the original image of Sto. Cristo del Tesoro, expressing their love, gratitude, and devotion.

At 3:00 P.M., the Community gathered once again for the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Msgr. Reginald Malicdem, with Fr. Rock Joseph Enriquez, CM, and Rev. Fr. Flaviano “Bing” Caintic, CM, as concelebrants. The celebration was followed by the Procession of Sto. Cristo del Tesoro around the Santa Isabel College of Manila campus passing along Ayala Boulevard and San Marcelino Street before returning through SICM Gate 3.

Despite the rain, the faithful walked on in prayer and devotion, testifying to their enduring love for Sto. Cristo del Tesoro. Far from dimming the celebration, the rain became a living sign of steadfast love and the blessings that have accompanied the faithful through the years.

After the procession, the sacred image was once more exposed for veneration and kissing inside the Chapel. In his homily, Msgr. Reginald reminded the faithful that the Cross invites us to reflect on the seeds we plant today and the future we are shaping. He urged everyone to sow good seeds—seeds that will bear fruit not only for ourselves but for society and the world.

The 394th Feast of Sto. Cristo del Tesoro was more than a commemoration of a long-standing devotion; it was a renewed invitation to live the Gospel through self-giving love, service, and hope. As a Vincentian-Isabelan Community, we are called to recognize Christ in the poor and suffering, serve with compassion, and faithfully steward the mission entrusted to us. May our prayers, sacrifices, acts of charity, and humble service, rooted in Christ, bear fruit for our community and future generations.
