On 12 September 2026, the Daughters of Charity, together with the family and friends of Sr. Marites Bacani BUENSUCESO, DC, joyfully celebrated her Silver Jubilee of Consecrated Life at Asilo de San Vicente de Paul, UN Avenue, Manila. The Jubilee Mass was celebrated by Fr. Gerardo G. VIBAR, CM, Provincial Director. Originally scheduled for September 2, the celebration was moved to September 12, coinciding beautifully with the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary.
With the theme, “25 Years of Grace: Celebrating God’s Enduring Love and Faithfulness with a Grateful Heart,” the Jubilee celebration became a joyful thanksgiving for the many graces, challenges, joys, and encounters that have shaped Sr. Marites’ 25-year journey of consecrated life and mission.
Her vocation journey began with twelve companions who initially set out together. As the years unfolded, each was led along a unique path, while Sr. Marites continued to respond to God’s call, faithfully journeying through the years. Her Silver Jubilee became a beautiful reminder that vocation is sustained not simply by human strength, but by God’s enduring love and faithfulness.
Celebrated under the gentle gaze of Mary, whose humble “Yes” opened her life to God’s plan, Sr. Marites’ journey also speaks of the grace of continually saying yes—in moments of joy and uncertainty, in service and sacrifice, and in the ordinary faithfulness of each day.
Surrounded by her Sisters, family members, and friends, Sr. Marites marked this milestone with a grateful heart, giving thanks to the God who called, accompanied, strengthened, and remained faithful throughout her journey.
Twenty-five years of grace, sustained by a God who never ceases to love and call.
