Our Lady of Victory Training Center (OLV) recently welcomed two immersion groups whose visits became meaningful journeys of learning, service, and human encounter.

More Than a Visit: Transformative Encounters at Our Lady of Victory Training Center

Last February 20-24, 2026, the University Students Association of the Diocese of Suwon Immersion Group spent time with the OLV community through interaction activities, prayer moments, and cultural exchange. Despite language differences, the participants formed genuine connections with the residents and staff, discovering that compassion and kindness transcend barriers. The experience gave the youth a deeper appreciation of faith in action and the dignity and resilience of persons with disabilities.
This spirit of encounter continued in April 13-24, 2026 as the staff of Hospicio de San Jose visited OLV for an immersion and benchmarking experience. Through observation, dialogue, and shared activities, the group gained valuable insights into OLV’s programs and holistic approach to care, while fostering mutual learning between institutions dedicated to compassionate service.

Though held at different times, both immersions reflected the same message — that true transformation happens through presence, empathy, and meaningful human connection.

More than ordinary visits, these encounters became reminders that service is not only about programs and responsibilities, but about touching lives and walking together in hope and compassion.
