DC-SLMES holds its 1st Human Resource (HR) Convergence
The Daughters of Charity- St. Louise de Marillac Educational Systerm (DC-SLMES) 1st Human Resource (HR) Convergence, held on March 13–14, 2026 at Caritas Christi Prayer and Renewal Center, Universidad de Sta. Isabel de Naga, Inc., brought together around 60 participants for a collaborative and reflective gathering. Organized by the DC-SLMES HR Core Group, the event aimed to strengthen strategic alignment, foster innovation, and enhance HR competencies in finance and administration. It sought to address pressing challenges in people management while embracing technological advancements and emerging trends.
The two-day program featured insightful sessions led by Mr. Jessie Francis Rebustillo and Atty. Maria Anthonette Velasco, who guided participants through discussions on HR policies, communication, employee engagement, and the strategic role of HR in supporting organizational direction. Emphasis was placed on updating technological systems to improve efficiency, as well as on authentic employee understanding—recognizing personal milestones and achievements through meaningful rewards and appreciation. Topics also included recruitment strategies, evolving rewards systems, leadership development, and trends in people-centered management. A highlight was the exchange of best practices, where participants shared real-life challenges and practical solutions to foster supportive organizational cultures.
The convergence concluded with gratitude and renewed commitment, leaving participants inspired and empowered. The sessions underscored the importance of aligning HR practices with organizational strategies, strengthening policies, and fostering genuine employee engagement. By embracing innovation, updating systems, and cultivating authentic recognition, participants gained practical tools to enhance HR effectiveness. The event ultimately reinforced the vision of building a mission-driven workforce—engaged, appreciated, and equipped to meet the evolving demands of human resource management.
