VOICES AND FACES FROM THE GROUND

Sister Anna Wiwiek Visits Cebu:
A Moment of Grace and Renewal

The visit of Sister Anna WIWIEK to Cebu, held from January 23–30, 2026, was a grace-filled experience that brought unity and renewal to our mission. She was warmly welcomed at the newly renovated auditorium of Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion - Cebu (CIC-Cebu), where Lay Mission Partners, students from CIC-Cebu and CIC-Mandaue, and Sisters from the four communities in Cebu gathered in joyful celebration.

During her visit, Sr. Anna journeyed to St. Louise de Marillac College of Bogo, CIC-Mandaue, Asilo de la Milagrosa, and CIC-Cebu. In each Community, she engaged in heartfelt dialogue with Lay Mission Partners, students, and Sisters. Her visitation extended to communities and to the homes of Lay Mission Partners in Bogo, both deeply affected by the devastation of earthquakes and typhoons. There, she carried the gift of hope, and survivors received her compassion with heartfelt gratitude, their smiles a testimony to renewed strength.

In each encounter, Sr. Anna shared messages thoughtfully attuned to the unique realities of the 4 local Communities. Her words brought encouragement, joy, healing, and renewed missionary zeal, inspiring everyone to continue serving with greater dedication and faith.
The visitation concluded with a meaningful gathering with the Sisters of Cebu. Sr. Anna reminded all present that love, unity, and a nurturing atmosphere are at the heart of both our community life and the institutions we serve.

Even in the short span of her visit, Sr. Anna’s loving presence deepened bonds, rekindled purpose, and renewed our shared commitment to serve in love and unity.
