A Life Given in Love: Celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Our Sisters
On March 12, the Daughters of Charity joyfully celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of vocation of four Sisters who mark 60 years of faithful service to God and the poor. Their lives stand as a beautiful testimony of a generous and enduring response to God’s call.
The Province warmly welcomes:
💎 Sr. Eloisa M. Nadres, DC – Hospicio de San Jose Community, Manila
💎 Sr. Mercedes M. Disu, DC – Seminary Community, Tagaytay
💎 Sr. Victoria S. Ostan, DC – Asilo de Molo, Iloilo
💎 Sr. Carmen V. Abad, DC – St. Anthony, Roxas
The celebration for Sr. Eloisa, Sr. Mercedes, and Sr. Carmen was held at the Provincial House, where the Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Provincial Director, Fr. Gerardo Vibar, CM. The occasion was graced by members of the Provincial Council headed by Sr. Josie Onag, DC. Friends, family members, and Sisters from the local communities in the NCR also joined the celebration, making the gathering a joyful expression of gratitude for their sixty years of vocation.
Meanwhile, in Asilo de Molo, Iloilo, Sr. Victoria celebrated her Jubilee together with the Vincentian Priests, friends, family members, Lay Mission Partners, and Sisters from the nearby communities, who gathered in thanksgiving for her sixty years of dedicated service.
For six decades, these Sisters have lived their vocation through prayer, community life, and service to those most in need. Their lives remind us that a faithful and generous “yes” to God can bear abundant fruits in the Church and in the lives of the poor.
With deep gratitude, we thank our dear Sisters for their lifelong witness of faith, fidelity, and charity. Their vocation continues to inspire many and remains a precious gift to the Church and to the Vincentian mission.
