Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus (CSCJ) celebrated its 109th Foundation Day Anniversary on September 14, 2026, bringing together the Sagrado community in a joyful celebration of faith, gratitude, and shared heritage. The Eucharistic Celebration served as the heart of the anniversary, offering thanksgiving to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus for 109 years of God’s grace and for the generations of Administrators: the Sisters, educators, personnel, students, alumni, parents, and partners who have faithfully contributed to and continually shaped the story and mission of CSCJ.

CSCJ: A Living Heritage of Iloilo City

The celebration reflected the institution’s enduring Vincentian identity, grounded in the Core Values of Respect, Simplicity, Service, and Vincentian Excellence. The event recognized CSCJ’s significant place within Iloilo City’s living heritage. According to the 2022 Cultural Properties Inventory of Iloilo City, CSCJ (No. 52) and the Primo Santos Mansion (No. 185) are among the city's 252 listed cultural properties. This recognition affirms the historical and cultural significance of these places in Iloilo's story and the lives of its people.

Continuing this heritage into the future, the Primo Santos Mansion is being developed as the Sagrado Primo Heritage and Learning Hub, an experiential learning center for the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) curriculum, on heritage conservation, cultural appreciation, and sustainable tourism education. Through this initiative, CSCJ seeks to provide meaningful learning experiences that connect students with Iloilo’s rich heritage while fostering a deeper commitment to preserving and promoting its cultural legacy.

Honoring the Past, Charting the Future

As CSCJ looks back with gratitude on 109 years of mission and service, it also looks forward with renewed hope. Its heritage, Vincentian identity, and commitment to education continue to inspire the Sagrado community to honor the past, celebrate its identity, and chart a future rooted in faith, service, and hope.
